I love that we live in a world where technology allows us to stay in touch with friends all over the world. And I love that new information is at my fingertips whenever I want because I have access to the internet.

But I fear sometimes that we are losing some very basic and very important human skills as we get more tech savvy and overloaded with more information than we could possibly ever need.

Real connection is established when we let ourselves be seen, heard, and felt and when we slow down enough to see, hear, and feel others. Remember what that’s like? I call it presencing, and nowadays it appears to be a skill we should not take for granted. (Ask yourself when was the last time you felt truly, deeply presenced by another.)

In this video, I break down the main steps we need to take to establish the kind of presence that launches you into deep, personal, and meaningful connection with others. It’s important we practice this stuff and not just assume we know it. With practice, it becomes second nature. But if we only think about it and never practice, it just ends up as a nice possibility in our heads and never a reality.

Let’s reawaken our original intelligence and start presencing each other now. Take a look.

Don’t stop here. Now, that you’ve gotten a refresher in the power of presence, I dare you to try it out on at least one person today. No excuses. Just do it.

Then, afterwards, notice how that interaction made you feel. Regardless of what was exchanged, my guess is that by presencing another, there will be some part of you that feels fulfillment… a buried part inside that yearns for connection. That part can get fed little by little in our daily interactions if we choose to use those interactions as opportunities to presence.

We need this way of being in our world. It’s a true healing elixir from which we all can benefit, and we can do it right now! We just have to choose.

Try it out, and let me know your results.

Sending love and light your way,

Amy
