We are an advanced society…or so we say. I find it ironic though that an “advanced” society would overlook such a powerful practice as ritual.

Now, don’t get me wrong. I am well aware we have many a daily ritual, like our daily commutes, daily meals, and even something as simple as the daily brushing of our teeth. But these are not the kind of rituals I am talking about. I am talking about the kind of rituals that invite the juicy meaning back into life – the kind that orient us to our inner realm.

I’ve been fortunate to travel a lot in my lifetime and have visited places like Bali, India, and several parts of Africa where the cultures are steeped in such daily rituals. It’s been an honor to witness such traditions, and I’ve seen first hand the kind of fulfillment and richness it brings back into a person’s life and into their communities too.

So, why don’t we have more ritual like this in our lives?

Well, I think a lot of us think such a daily ritual has to be a complex, elaborate ceremony that takes a ton of time and preparation.

FALSE!

What’s important in life is not complicated. It just sometimes alludes us in its simplicity. (Click to Tweet)

Let’s not let true ritual fall to the way side because we feed ourselves some false logic that it’s just too hard to do or we’re too busy.  You’re going to be missing out on one of the sweetest parts of life if you swallow that nonsense.

In today’s episode we look at four power-packed benefits of having a daily ritual, and then I give you a personal example of one of my favorite daily rituals I created…and this ritual stars none other than mother nature herself.

Go ahead and see how easy this can be. Check it out!
