Ok, so I made a little assumption with the title there, but I gotta tell ya. It does seem that a LARGE majority of people I know are going through some mega transitions right now. And many of these folks have moments (some frequently) where they want to just close their eyes and fast forward through all the hard stuff.
Divorces. Lost jobs. Bankruptcy. Moving. Economic meltdowns… well, you get the idea.
I’ve had those days too where it just feels like I can’t possibly need more “character building” and crave an “easier journey.” But now, I know better.
The Benefits of Transition
Now, I see that transitions (especially the super-sized, double-dip, all-you-can-eat from the “buffet of life” ones) do indeed pack an extra value. This is where the action is at!
Transitions when used to their full potential are like portals into higher levels of consciousness. (Click to Tweet)
When we feel raw, stripped down, vulnerable, confused, even broken-hearted – these are prime opportunities in life to cultivate a more powerful spiritual practice and embody a more evolved version of ourselves.
A Warrior’s Transition – One Woman’s Journey
This week, I sit down with my dear friend Julie Cielo for this blog’s first ever Community Profile.
I know the people who watch and read this blog are people who have boat loads of wisdom to share themselves, and Julie is no exception. She just moved here to my neighborhood in Southern California all the way from Florida, leaving behind a successful business and a 22 year relationship to start over and follow her dream.
As you can imagine, it hasn’t all been a “walk in the park” for Julie, and she’s been kind enough to help us learn from some of her obstacles and opportunities she’s experienced on the path. Take a look and soak up the warrior wisdom from this gorgeous soul below.

Three cheers for Julie for rocking it out and following her dream, and saying yes to life in all its forms!

And if you are one of those harrowing souls going through some tough transition right now, here’s a few affirmations to keep you positive in those rough patches:
1. I am safe. I give myself permission to be exactly how I am and where I am right now.
2. I choose where my energy goes. I choose to see the light in everything.
3. All my needs will be provided for if I follow my higher path. I stay open to the support of the universe and let this journey of self-healing unfold.
