Faster. Bigger. More. Now.
I will admit I am a big dreamer and always will be, but sometimes I wonder if always focusing on my uber-high aspirations for life can block me from my true brilliance in the now. How am I acting on the way to making it big?
Chances are you probably know what you’re “PLAYING BIG” looks like, even if you’re not living it now. It’s when you have all cylinders firing, and are grooving in your mojo with ease and grace. When you’re playing big, your big aspirations have come true, or are in the process of unfolding. All seems vibrant and well, and grand!
But what does “PLAYING SMALL” look like for you (you know, the part before all your dreams have come true)? Does it necessarily mean failure, disappointment, or not living up to par? I used to think so, but now I see a different side of things.
And this new perspective has really shifted things for me not only in how I look at the world, but what I choose to value.
If you too have found yourself wondering about your relationship to your dreams, you might want to take a closer look at why “playing small” is just as important, if not more, as “playing big.” Check it out.

In my nearly fifteen years in the coaching and wellness field, I’ve learned that success is a great magnifier. What I mean by that is that usually when a person becomes successful or has made it to PLAYING BIG, they usually become an exaggerated or magnified version of how they were when they were PLAYING SMALL. If they were greedy before, they usually are greedy after, just on a bigger scale. If they were kind and humble before, they are usually kind and humble after too, even more so.
So, think not only about what you want to do when you’re PLAYING BIG, but about the quality of person you want to be when you get there. Also, think about the quality of the world you want to create around you as you work towards your dreams. We all have an impact. So, let’s be conscious about it.
Here’s to playing BIG and SMALL!
Peace,
Amy 🙂
