You know it’s funny, we’re supposed to be the most advanced species on earth with our highly developed brains, but it seems to me that the other animals sometimes have it figured out a lot better than we do.
Animals don’t stress about their jobs, or finances, or relationships. They don’t obsess again and again about interactions that have happened in the past or may or may not happen in the future. But, we humans certainly do. I think animals are better at keeping it together because they have kept so much of their body wisdom intact. They trust their instincts. If an antelope sees a lion coming, she runs. If a tiger is hungry, it eats.
As humans though, our over-analyzing, albeit well-intentioned brains can really do a number on us, especially when we are stressed. In a matter of seconds, we can create outrageous hypothetical scenarios in our heads and take our neuroses to a whole new level.
What we don’t often realize though is that we are just as capable as the animals are of dropping back into our body wisdom and accessing the present moment. The body lives in the present moment. The mind usually does not.
So, if we’re feeling we need a break from the mind, orienting to the body might just be our ticket to liberation. And today’s video is just that – an experiential meditation to guide you back into the body so that you can rest at ease in the present moment.
This, my friends, is an essential skill for any warrior. So, do yourself a favor, and practice it now. Enjoy!

How do you feel? Hopefully, more relaxed and available to choose the way you want to engage with your life from moment to moment.
Life is not always easy, but if you can take a time out like this – you can remember not to take it all that seriously!
Sending love and blessings,
Amy
