Resonated so much with me. This is so much of the ongoing conversation we need to be having not only within ourselves but with one another. I remember starting this conversation with Amy in some incredible coaching sessions; her guidance has brought me much clarity and allowed me to grow my own self acceptance and activate myself in ways I never thought possible. I am reaching out to women at work, in the world, in ways I never thought I could be brave enough to actuate. Keep these coming!
Mady, thank you for this feedback. You’re right. We need to get this conversation happening, not just in our heads, but with as many other women as possible. We have to start recognizing each other as truly a sisterhood, supporting one another along the way and helping each other break the patterns that hold us back from our own excellence. I am so glad you’ll be part of this tribe, and I welcome your further contributions. You have so much to share! LOVE!
hi Amy! These are great – I resonate with all of them on varying levels but I”m not sure I would call myself a Warrior Woman yet…I know this archetype is in me but I feel it has been hidden and only safe to show in certain ways for me in the past. Since I have become a mother, though, I am feeling this archetype more and more. As well, I think the time we are living in is calling it out. What’s being called forth now in me is Passion, Risk Taking, Vulnerability, Contributing to the Whole and Authenticity.
Thank you for these great insights and for sharing Elizabeth. It’s important to remember that we all will manifest this archetype to varying degrees and it will show up in unique ways in each of our lives. As you noted, how this archetype is showing up for you is already starting to change dramatically as you step into motherhood. My hope is that this blog and community will be a place where women can come together to explore this archetype more deliberately without the pressure of assuming it has to look just one way. A lot of women have been encouraged as young girls to flat out ignore this archetype altogether. Others of us have been taught that being a warrior means we have to act like how a strong man would act, when in fact, I think this archetype shows up with entirely different sensibilities in a woman. What’s great about this community we are building together is that it creates a safe place for each of us to explore what being a warrior means for us. A question you may want to ponder as you go through the list of points from this video again is “If I were fully owning this archetype in the way that best supports my higher purpose, how might I be showing up differently in the world, my relationships, and my life?” Just like in an army on a battlefield, each warrior has a specific role to play, and your warrior can only be its best when you are tapping into YOUR truth around this archetype. The videos I create will hopefully prime the pump to get you investigating how these suggestions interface with your personal truth in this world. They are not meant as hard and fast rules. I hope that helps, and please let us know what insights you uncover along the way. I know others will benefit from you sharing your experience. Blessings!
Thank you, Amy! I deeply resonate with the Warrior Archetype and I love the way you describe, relate and explain this part of us that we can often feel is not okay to be there. It is a part of us as women that we need to open to, embrace and let it SHINE!!
Sat Nam, Cousin! xoxo
Right on Kate! Glad you resonate, and I know you are bringing this archetype to life through your work in your community. It’s so important for us to talk about this and awaken this aspect of ourselves in each other. There’s an old African proverb, “I am me through you.” We all hold different pieces of the puzzle, and when we share, we all learn and all grow stronger in our power. Sometimes without that reminder from another sister we forget how strong we really are. Thanks for the great work you do and for bringing your light to this world. We need it! Blessings dear one, Amy 😉
