I’m a giver. I’m a “put myself last” kind of girl. I got a lot of training in my life, some intended and some just implied, that told me it was best to put others needs before mine. Always.
And a part of me does think this is a really honorable trait, being able to show genuine kindness and compassion to others.
BUT… if I’m honest with myself, often in the past, I’ve been of service to others even if it was to my own detriment.
I would over-work or over extend myself, or over compensate for others in circumstances where they weren’t pulling their weight, whether that was in work or relationships.
Well, let me tell ya. I learned my lesson. You can’t leave yourself stranded while you take care of everyone else. So, this week, I proudly (and vulnerably) reveal to you my personal promise to myself in this week’s video to never leave myself behind again.
Thank you for being my witnesses, because this time I choose me, and I want the whole world to know it!
Gosh, that feels good to share that with all of you! I, for one, will be watching this video again and again.
And how about you?
What promises would you like to make to yourself? Why not declare them in the comments below and take a stand publicly for how you plan to be your #1 biggest supporter.
Love to you all,
Amy
