In the US, this coming Sunday is Mother’s Day. And I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about my own mom.

My mom is a force of nature and certainly someone I have admired and looked up to my whole life.

Raising five girls on her own is certainly enough to put this amazing woman in the book of world records as far as I’m concerned. And there’s many more huge challenges my mother somehow managed to overcome with ease and grace.

Though I stand in awe of how my mom has handled the big stuff in life, what has continued to astonish me (even after all these years) is all the little ways my mom keeps her heart open and lives from her essence, even when it would be SO easy for her to shut down.

To me, living with a vulnerable open heart is the very definition of a warrior, and my mom has always exemplified that for me to a “T.” So, this week I offer a humble “quote and video montage” tribute to my mom – and to all the moms out there that have been a stand for their children to grow and blossom so they may share their gifts with the world.

I love you mom! Enjoy!

Mothers are warriors indeed. And please let’s not assume we just mean our biological mothers. If you’ve ever been mothered by someone, why don’t you let them know today how much you appreciate the support they shared with you to keep you moving forward on your journey? Send them this video with a special note of gratitude.

Let’s make today a day where we celebrate the wisdom of warrior mothers the world over, and a day where we can pray for those in the world that need a little more mother support right now. And of course, let’s also send our blessings to those mothers out there who are walking through the fire right now, perhaps feeling challenged or alone as they face seemingly insurmountable tasks.

Thanks for helping spread the word to celebrate these special warrior mothers that make the world go round. And if you are one of them too, I send you bushels full of love and gratitude.

Deep bow dear ones,

Amy
