Encouragement sounds a lot like “in courage.” Interestingly enough, the root of courage (cour) means heart. So, when I think of encouragement, I think about living in the space of the heart.
Often, when we need encouragement the most, it’s at those times when it’s hardest to live in the soft vulnerable places in the heart. It’s also at these times that the littlest of gestures can make the biggest difference.
I invite you to take 3 minutes out of your day today and watch this montage of encouraging quotes and images. You see, the other thing we need to know about encouragement is that it’s infectious. If you watch this video, and it sets your heart alight, the whole world becomes brighter.
