Control tendencies are hard to let go of. Once a control freak, always a control freak! Even if we aren’t always aware of it, most of us wreak havoc in our lives and personal affairs by trying to over-control them.

We have this crazy idea that somehow we know what’s best for us, all the time. Right?

I believe our intentions are usually good ones when we set out to control things, but the reality is if instead we could master the art of “going with the flow” we’d probably be much more likely to get where we want to go.

We hear this a lot – “just let go, surrender, and all will be ok.” I’ve even heard myself say some version of this to many of my own clients.

But how do you do that? How do you let go or surrender?

It’s the ultimate paradox, how do you “do” the art of “not doing”?

Fortunately, I have some experience in being a control freak. 😉 I say “fortunate” because now I can share with all of you what I’ve learned about the actual act of surrendering.

I put together a little beginner’s guide in the video below on how to move past just telling yourself to let go and actually learning to embody this subtle and deeply powerful practice. Check it out.

And remember, surrendering is a way of being. It takes time to make it a habit, to think of it as second nature. But this shift can happen.

Go again through the points above and let me know in the comments below how trying these new tips works out for you.

Big love to you sisters,
